Choose Your Path
⚡ Path A — Recommended
Cryptographic (Merkle Proof)
For users who still have access to their original UTXO private key. Uses a Merkle tree of all UTXO balances stored on-chain — trustless and immediate.
- ✓ Exact 1:1 GUAP balance
- ✓ No manual approval needed
- ✓ Instant claim
- ✓ Fully trustless
🤝 Path B — Manual Review
Manual Claim
For users who lost access to their original wallet. Submit evidence of ownership to governance for manual review and approval.
- → 50% paid immediately on approval
- → Remainder vested over time
- → Governance committee review
- → Case-by-case basis
Path A: Step-by-Step Guide
01
Set up an EVM wallet
Install Guapcoin Wallet (iOS) or add GuapcoinX as a custom network in MetaMask. RPC: https://rpc-mainnet.guapcoinx.com — Chain ID: 71623
02
Locate your UTXO private key
Open your legacy Guapcoin wallet and export your private key or seed phrase for the address holding your GUAP balance.
03
Generate your Merkle proof
Use the migration tool at migration.guapcoinx.com (coming soon) to input your UTXO address and generate the cryptographic proof needed for claiming.
04
Submit your claim
Call the migration contract with your Merkle proof. The contract verifies the proof against the on-chain Merkle root and transfers your GUAP to your EVM address.
05
Verify your balance
Check explorer.guapcoinx.com or your wallet — your GUAP will appear as an ERC-20 token balance on your EVM address.
